International break proves 'very good' for Cherries record signing Evanilson

Impressive form continues for Brazilian striker following summer move to the south coast

Cherries striker Evanilson has continued his impressive form for the club since his summer move to the south coast, with the Brazilian forward impressing for his country during the recent international break.

The 23-year-old, who became the Cherries' record signing when he joined from Porto in a deal worth a reported £20 million, has scored four goals in eight Premier League appearances for his new club.

He also netted twice in two appearances for Brazil during the international break, helping his country to a 2-0 win over Ghana and a 1-0 victory against Tunisia.

Speaking after the Tunisia match, Evanilson said he was "very happy" with his form and that he was "looking forward to continuing to help Cherries climb the Premier League table."

Cherries manager Gary O'Neil will be delighted with Evanilson's form, with the striker having quickly become a key player for the club.

The Cherries are currently 13th in the Premier League table, and O'Neil will be hoping that Evanilson can continue his goalscoring form when they return to action against Brentford on October 1.
