Father and Son Arrested for Providing Alcohol to Minors, One Hospitalized

A father and son have been arrested in McAllen, Texas, for allegedly providing alcohol to minors, leading to one hospitalization.

The suspects, identified as 51-year-old Jaime Islas and his son, were arrested at their home on Wednesday, July 20, 2023, at 10:30 pm.

According to McAllen police spokesman Sgt. John Saenz, the arrests came after a 911 call reporting a possible underage drinking party.

Upon arrival, officers found several minors in the home, including one who was intoxicated and had to be transported to the hospital.

Islas and his son have been charged with furnishing alcohol to minors and endangering a child.

The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be filed.

Parents are urged to talk to their children about the dangers of underage drinking and to be aware of their activities.
